Nick Carne specialised in BMW’s for 6 years in Sydney, working at Alto BMW Artarmon and Col Crawford BMW. During this time he was selected to attend BMW factory training in a range of models and diagnostics through BMW Australia.
He started his automotive career in the northern suburbs of Sydney, working in small workshops such as Toptune Automotive and North Sydney Automotive. These workshops serviced all makes and models, predominantly European and Prestige vehicles.

Nick’s diagnostic skills, accuracy in parts specification and ability to liaise with customers saw him advanced to 2nd in charge of the Toptune workshop at Mosman.
From the start Nick showed he had both passion and talent in the automotive arena, and was awarded the “Highest Pass 3 Years of Light Vehicles Mechanics Trade Course” at his graduation as an apprentice.
Nick has a particular passion for Volkswagen, having owned a 1972 Transporter T2 – Kombi – as his first car in high school.
